His work is characterised by a light comic touch and warm, sparkling performances that have a canny knack of capturing the emotional beats of a story, while still keeping it funny.

His towering catalogue of commercials have won him multiple international advertising awards, including a Cannes Grand Prix, Cannes Gold & Silvers, BTAAs, D&ADs & Kinsale Sharks.

His current hugely celebrated Warburton’s campaign featuring Sylvester Stallone, The Muppets & Peter Kay have been met with rave reviews and public acclaim.

His recent innovative Halifax campaign is a special effects masterclass, seamlessly dropping ‘Greg from the Halifax’ into footage from the Hollywood blockbusters, The Wizard of Oz and Ghostbusters.

In parallel, Lowney’s long form career is equally as successful.

He has two BAFTA awards, with a further 6 BAFTA nominations; and two International EMMY awards; along with numerous other awards for his comedy and drama work.

Lowney’s long list of Director credits include the classic series ‘Moone Boy’, ’Father Ted’, ‘Happiness’, ’Help’, ‘Little Britain’ & ‘Cold Feet’.

His feature film with Steve Coogan, ‘Alpha Papa’, was No1 at the UK box office.

Declan directed Idris Elba ‘In The Long Run’ which won the UK Broadcast Digital Award for Best Comedy 2018 and was reviewed by The Times as “…the most surprising sitcom of this decade”.

Other work in the last few years has included directing episodes of the successful ABC Studios’ comedy/musical, ‘Galavant’ and helming the BBC 2 comedy series ‘Flat TV’.

Declan lives in Brighton, well Hove actually, but from time to time also spends time in the sun working in LA.
